Ever since I read or heard that you aren’t supposed to touch your face, my eyes have never itched so much.
Just keep washing your hands.
Notice to subscribers and readers regarding COVID-19.
The safety and well-being of those in our community is our highest priority.
We’re closely monitoring the latest information on COVID-19 and are being diligent in having our employees, contractors and carriers follow recommendations established by the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to WHO, “The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.”
WHO also recommends the public “keep informed and follow the advice of the local health authorities.”
One important way to stay informed is by reading your local newspaper who will bring you important and trustworthy local information just as we have done for decades.
Thank you for your support as we continue to deliver timely and accurate news and information to you in these difficult times.
Obviously the fight against the coronavirus is going to take a team effort and so far our Congress is not playing as a team.
The Senate couldn’t agree on an economic stimulus package and the House Democrats are trying to use the emergency to add a bunch of their agenda items to the coronavirus bill.
I’m no politician but I’ve got to wonder what some of the items in the Democratic coronavirus bill have to do with helping with the pandemic.
How does same-day voter registration, early voting, $15 an-hour-minimum wage, tax credits for solar and wind energy, carbon neutral requirements for airlines and the like help Americans with the current crisis facing all of us?
They really don’t.
