Have you made your New Year’s Resolutions yet?
Now that we’re a few days into 2021, it’s time to put them into action!
Most people make the usual resolutions to eat a healthy diet, stop smoking, exercise more and save more.
Whatever yours are, try to stick with them. I’ve been told that it only takes 90 days to make a change in your life!
Join the Purcell Public Library via Zoom for a Virtual Book Program from 7-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12.
The January discussion will be held on the book The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett and the February book discussion will be on Educated by Tara Westover.
This is a virtual program and registration with an email address is required. A confirmation email will be sent with a link to join the program via Zoom.
Copies of the book can be picked up at the Purcell Public Library.
The Purcell Public Library and the Pioneer Library System invites readers to take part in its initiative “A Healthier You” to get 2021 off to a positive start.
The initiative runs through the end of April and features health-related activities that customers can engage in on their own schedules. It looks into both physical and mental health through a variety of activities.
After signing up, participants can access the themes and individual activities for each month. They can earn a virtual badge by completing at least seven of each month’s activities.
In addition, librarians have put together book lists to accompany the initiative’s activities. These feature topics like meal planning, exercise, mindfulness, financial health and other aspects of daily life.
Find out more about these services and the “A Healthier You” initiative through the PLS web site, www.pioneerlibrarysystem.org.
