The Purcell Band Boosters, in conjuction with the Purcell Masonic Lodge #27, will host an Indian taco dinner Friday, September 28, from 5-7 p.m. in the Purcell High School cafetera.
Tickets are $7 and can be purchased from any band member. A drive thru will be available on the north end of the cafeteria.
The Purcell Public Library invites children ages 5 and under and their caregivers to a special weekly story time just for them.
Preschool Story Times will take place at 10:45 a.m. Friday, September 28. Each Story Time features books, games, dances, songs, craft time and more. Each session promotes pre-reading skills for children and tips for parents and guardians to continue pushing those skills at home.
Registration is not required to attend any of the story times.

The Purcell Public Library invites children to its weekly After School Arts and Crafts program Wednesday, October 3, at 3:15p.m. in the Meeting Room of the library, 919 N. Ninth St.
Participants may get a little messy making their projects so parents are encouraged to dress their children appropriately. Registration is not required to take part.

Here’s a delicious and easy recipe!
BBQ Roasted Chicken
with Parmesan Potatoes
1 lb. small red potatoes, quartered
1/4 cup Kraft Italian Vinaigrette Dressing made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1-1/2 tsp. chili powder, divided
4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1/4 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
2 TBL Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese
Heat oven to 400º.
Toss potatoes with dressing in 13x9-inch nonstick pan; sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. chili powder. Bake 25 minutes.
Stir potatoes; push to sides of pan. Place chicken in single layer in center of pan; sprinkle with remaining chili powder. Drizzle with barbecue sauce.
Bake 20 minutes or until chicken is done and potatoes are tender. Transfer chicken to platter. Stir potatoes to evenly coat with pan drippings. Top with Parmesan.
