The Purcell Public Library has a story time for the whole family, at a special Family Story Time Tuesday, September 25, at 6 p.m. at the library, 919 N. Ninth St.
The evening will include activities, crafts and stories for all ages. Also, a light dinner will be served.
Registration is required to attend so enough food and supplies for craft projects are available.

Preschool Story Times have begun again at the Purcell Public Library!
The Purcell Public Library invites children ages 5 and under and their caregivers to a special weekly story time just for them.
Preschool Story Times will take place at 10:45 a.m. Friday, September 21. Each Story Time features books, games, dances, songs, craft time and more. Each session promotes pre-reading skills for children and tips for parents and guardians to continue pushing those skills at home.
Registration is not required to attend any of the story times.

Participants may get a little messy making their projects so parents are encouraged to dress their children appropriately. Registration is not required to take part.

Can something so cheesy-good be low-cal? Yep. Simple and flavorful ingredients combine for a saucy new take on a Mexican skillet!
Saucy Mexican Chicken
4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1cup Taco Bell® Home Originals® Thick ‘N Chunky Salsa
15 oz. can black beans, undrained
1 cup Kraft 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Cook chicken in nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 4 minutes on each side or until browned on both sides.
Add salsa and beans. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 5 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF).
Top with cheese. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
