Private family services are pending for Wanda Laverne (Boettler) Wade, 82, of Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Wade died of natural causes on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at South Pointe Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born Oct. 22, 1937 in Brinton, Okla., the daughter of Roy and Bonnie Boettler.
Mrs. Wade graduated from Blanchard High School in 1955 where she was voted Annual Queen her sophomore year and looked lovely in her lavender gown.
All seniors were given nicknames and Wanda’s was “Grandma” because of her loving and nurturing manner.
She married the love of her life, John Wade, on July 20, 1955 in Blanchard, Okla. They settled in the Cole area where they farmed and ranched. Their daughter, Carol, was born September 26, 1957 in Purcell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Don Boettler and Jerry Boettler; her husband, John on August 6, 2016 and her daughter, Carol, on October 26, 2019.
Wanda is survived by her brothers, Vernon Boettler and wife Pam, and John Boettler and wife, Reba; sister, Brenda Quillin and husband, Karlos, and many nieces, nephews, Cousins and friends.
