Ms. Standerfer passed away Friday, April 19, 2019.
Sara was born September 10, 1983 in Norman, the baby of three daughters born to Jim Standerfer and Carlene Lamar. She was raised in Norman and attended school there, graduating from Norman High in 2002. Sara then attended Oklahoma City Community College, studying a variety of subjects.
As a young woman, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Trinity Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Sara was an animal lover, and adopted and nurtured many.
A beautiful soul, Sara always gave of herself. She was funny, but at the same time, brutally honest and always kept her family laughing. Sara cherished her family, and especially her children, Haylee and Tyler. Forever in our hearts, Sara Beth.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, W.D. and Braunita Lamar and Charlie and Lanor Standerfer and great-grandmother, Laura Beal.
Sara is survived by her children, Haylee Beth Henderson of Norman and Tyler William Whaley of Noble; mother, Carlene Lamar and husband, Irvin Pendley, of Norman; father, Jim Standerfer of Norman; sisters, Tracy Ratzlaff and husband, Zac, of Norman and Aimee Brown and husband, Larry, of Norman; five nieces and nephews, Taylor (Baylee) Adkins, Maci Roesler, McKenzie Brown and Olivia and Ryane Ratzlaff; great-niece, Averee Adkins and a host of other family and friends.
