No services are planned at this time for Bill Robertson, 64, of Purcell who passed away Friday, April 12, 2019. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
William Thomas Robertson was born August 1, 1954 in Clovis, New Mexico, the second of four sons born to Raymond Edgar Robertson and Talma Lee (Randol) Robertson. He was raised in Clovis and attended school there.
Bill joined the United States Army and served his country proudly. While visiting a friend on a trip to New York, he met a young lady named Crista Hall, and by chance, they were introduced. Bill and Crista fell in love and were married July 5, 1979 in Norman, Okla. They made their home primarily in Purcell, where together they raised a daughter, Chantel.
Bill began working at the Joseph Harp Correctional Facility, and later transferred to LARC. He retired as a transportation officer after more than 24 years.
Bill was a family man first and he cherished his family. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed large family get togethers. When he was not working, he was a home body. He enjoyed tinkering around the house, and tending to his yard and vehicles.
Bill was an avid sports fan and he loved his OU Sooners, the Dallas Cowboys and the OKC Thunder. He was a wonderful husband and father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and the truest of friends He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Talma Robertson and a brother, Mark Robertson.
Bill is survived by his wife, Crista and daughter, Chantel, both of the home two brothers, Chris Robertson and Jeffery Robertson, both of Clovis, N.M.; brother and sisters-in-law, Tamara Iness of Purcell, Melanie Elliott and husband, Casey, of Washington, James Hall and wife, Sherry, of Purcell and Cecil Hall of Cole and a host of other family and friends.
