Funeral services for Jana Turpen Clift, 52, of Amarillo, Texas, were held Nov. 16, 2012 at Hillside Christian Church with the Rev. Tommy Pollitz and the Rev. Bob Shroeder officiating. Interment was at Llano Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clift died Nov. 11, 2012.
Jana was born on April 9, 1960 in Hereford to Blue and Lois Turpen. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1978 before moving to Amarillo and enrolling at West Texas A&M where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. Jana worked as a paramedic in Pampa for many years.
On January 6, 1990, she married Don Clift in Amarillo. She was self-employed as a medical transcriptionist for many years. Jana was a loving mother, daughter and sister to her family. She devoted her entire life to her husband and to the needs of her two daughters. She worked 24 hours a day doing whatever it took to fulfill their needs. There was absolutely nothing she could not do. She was so proud of the many accomplishments of her family and will be forever remembered and greatly missed.
Survivors include two daughters, Shayla Clift of Tulsa and Skyla Clift of Stillwater; mother, Lois Turpen of Hereford and brother, Toby Turpen and wife, Jean, of Hereford.
She was preceded in death by her father, Blue Turpen.
