Purcell resident Trey Smith is the newest member of the Purcell Municipal Hospital Board.
Smith, who is a Financial and Operational Analyst for Panther Drilling Systems in Yukon, is married to the former Laura Clark, a 2004 graduate of Purcell High School.
The Smiths have two children, Nick, four and Layla, one.
Laura is employed by the Purcell School District.
Smith is settling into his new position, having attended three meetings.
Smith graduated from high school in Katy, Texas in 2004 where he played on a state champion football team.
He attended The University of Oklahoma until 2006 when he transferred to Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO., where he earned his degree in 2008.
He and Laura were married in August of 2014. They moved to Purcell in November of 2017.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to serve,” Smith told The Purcell Register. “It is a great opportunity to be involved in the community.”
Other members of the board include chairman David Shirley, Justin Blankenship, Todd Clouse and St. Anthony Representative Kyle Nondorf.
