Officially dedicated

Justin Blankenship (center) cut the ribbon officially opening the Purcell Hope Center last Saturday morning at the recovery house in Goldsby.

A dedication was held Saturday morning for the Purcell Hope Center, a recovery place for women with addiction problems.

The home, located at 4277 S. Main Street in Goldsby, is already in operation with four women recovering there.

The dedication and ribbon cutting was held at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Hope Center Ministries is a non profit organization that operates a Christ Centered recovery program for alcoholics and addicts.

They currently have 18 Hope Centers in the United States and in the country of Wales.

“Landmark Church raised $100,000 to partner with Hope Center Ministries to bring the Purcell Women’s Hope Center to our community,” Landmark Pastor Justin Blankenship said.

Hope Center Ministries purchased the house and 10 acres of land and oversees the operation of the home.

“They have hired a director, Monica Henry, who will oversee the Purcell Hope Center, and they will also employ a Recovery Coordinator,” Blankenship continued.

“The benefit for Landmark Church is to be able to minister to these women as they attend our church and also to be able to help their families as well,” he said.

The Hope Center Ministries (HCM) Disciple Residency Program (“HCM Program”) is designed to be an eight month to one year comprehensive drug and alcohol rehab program that offers faith-based teaching and rehabilitative labor to help relieve its residents from the control of alcohol and drugs, while simultaneously preparing residents for a stable and sober assimilation back into society.
