With the last measurable rainfall here June 23, the parched terrain drank up the pittance of rain that fell last Friday and Tuesday.
With the .05” that was recorded last Friday and the .01” Tuesday, the year-to-date rainfall looks pretty hefty at 35.20”.
However, with high heat and no decent rainfall since late June, the once spongy terrain is now parched and dry.
Oklahoma City has recorded 31.95” so far this year with the normal year-to-date mark at 23”.
Additional rain is in the forecast later this week.
