The Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated a fatality accident south of Goldsby Monday afternoon.
OHP Trooper Dennis Dickens reported Kathleen R. McDanel, 44, of Washington was killed in the three vehicle accident on SH 74 just south of Ladd Road at 1:49 p.m.
Dickens said McDanel was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the 2007 Toyota Camry she was driving.
Trooper Dickens said the Camry was northbound on SH 74 and for unknown reason went left of center making contact with a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Irma Shinn, 64, of Purcell. She was not injured.
After the collision the pickup continued south into the west ditch rotating approximately 180 degrees and coming to rest facing northbound in the southbound lane.
The Camry, Dickens said, rotated counter clockwise going back to the southbound lane from the northbound lane coming in contact with the 2020 Ford F150 pickup driven by Kenneth Martin, 20, of Washington.
Both Martin and a passenger, Tyler Beller, 19, of Goldsby were transported to a Norman Emergency Room by personal vehicle. Both were treated and released, the Trooper said.
Shinn, Martin and Beller were all wearing their seat belts, Dickens reported.
Dickens was assisted by Trooper Shayne Ballard with the OHP Homicide Division, Captain Jansen Idlett, Trooper Brandon Schneider, Goldsby Fire Department, Wadley’s EMS, the Medical Examiner’s office, the McClain County Sheriff’s Department, an off duty Cleveland County Deputy and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
