When Purcell police made a traffic stop December 12 on South Green Avenue, it turned out to be bad news for a passenger in the vehicle.
Doyle C. Johnson, 60, of Purcell, had outstanding McClain County and Purcell municipal warrants.
And when an officer placed him under arrest, it was found he had approximately 44 grams of methamphetamine in a baggie under his arm.
Prosecutors charged Johnson on Wednesday with trafficking in illegal drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is in the McClain County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
According to an affidavit, when police inventoried the vehicle, they found a black digital scale with a white crystal substance on it.
