Purcell Mayor Ted Cox has issued a statement about wearing masks during this pandemic of COVID-19.
“As Mayor of Purcell, at this time I do not want our Purcell Police Department responsible for enforcing something we should be doing on our own,” Cox said.
“Neither do I want to clog our judicial system with cases about mask wearing. That being said, I am imploring all citizens to wear masks where social distancing is not available or even potentially expected to not be available. Fellow citizens, please be vigilant in your care and concern for one another.”
