At their regular Monday meeting at the courthouse, McClain County Commissioners welcomed Amy Allen to the meeting concerning keeping the courthouse a safe environment.
Allen is associated with the Cleveland and McClain County Health Departments. She addressed the commissioners about safety during the Pandemic of COVID-19.
“With the second half of taxes coming due our citizens will be coming to the courthouse,” District No. 2 Commissioner Wilson Lyles said.
“When visitors do visit the courthouse we just ask they have respect for one another and keep a space up to six feet between them and the person they are dealing with,” Lyles continued.
“We want to keep the environment as safe as we can so if you visit the courthouse and you think an employee is being a little bit standoffish, that’s why,” Lyles said.
