Two Washington men are charged in McClain County District Court in connection with a home break-in on December 18.

James L. Collins, 66, and Gregory K. Snow, 47, are each charged with second degree burglary.

According to an affidavit, Deputy Clark Tucker with the McClain County Sheriff’s Department took a larceny in progress call at 22387 Bryant Ave., around 12:43 p.m.

Savanna Roof told the deputy she was driving by the property which is owned by her father, Steve Walkup, and saw an SUV and trailer parked near a shop building.

Roof called Walkup who said no one was supposed to be at the property.

When Tucker arrived, he questioned Collins and Snow.

Snow told the deputy he’d answered a Craigslist ad to clean up the property and brought Collins to help.

Inside the trailer the deputy found numerous items which Snow said came from the property.

Both men were arrested on outstanding warrants.
